Upcoming Tata Tiago may come with a CNG.

Tata Motors is currently working on the facelift models of its Tiago and Tigor. The new Tiago and Tigor will get the company's 2.0 Impact design philosophy. Both of the models may get the facelift during the festival season 2019.

As speculated, Tata Motors may discontinue the diesel engine after the launch of Tata Tiago facelift. As the cost of diesel cars is more than the petrol one, the contribution of the diesel variants is just 20% of the total Tiago's sale. And after the introduction of the BS-VI engine, the cost may rise further, thus it will directly reflect in the decline of the sales of diesel Tiago. Therefore, CNG can be a better substitute as it is not only cost effective but also the CO2 emission is less comparatively, thus making it an eco-friendly car.

In terms of design, the car will receive major upgradation from the front, with a headlight and tail-light similar to Tata Altroz, which resembles Tata Motors 2.0 Impact design philosophy. On the inside, the car will get some minor tweaks.

In safety aspects, to comply with the safety standards, Tata Motors will introduce Tiago with 1 Airbag with ABS and EBD as standard, right from the base variant. As per new safety rules, every car will need to have even safety belt reminder, high-speed beep system, and rear parking sensors after 1st July 2019. Upcoming Tata Tiago will be made available with such mandatory features.

If Tata Tiago will be launched with a CNG option, the sales will increase for sure as it is pocket-friendly. As expected, the prices of the Tata Tiago facelift will rise because of the introduction of BS-VI engine.
