Bajaj Qute officially launched in Maharashtra.

Finally, Bajaj Auto has launched its Qute-a quadricycle in Maharashtra. The prices of India's first quadricycle starts from Rs 2.48 lakhs for petrol variants whereas Rs 2.78 lakhs for CNG variants. Bajaj Qute is launched for the commercial as well as for the private ownership.

In terms of engine transmission, the four-seater quadricycle is powered by a 216cc single-cylinder DTSi engine that produces 13bhp of power at 5,500rpm and 18.9Nm of torque at 4,000rpm. On the other hand, CNG powered vehicle produces 11bhp at 5,500rpm and 16.1Nm of torque at 4,000rpm.
Bajaj Qute gets a 5-speed manual transmission which is mounted on the dashboard.

As its a quadricycle and not a car, the top speed of the vehicle is about 70kmph.In contrast, the mileage claimed by the company is 35kmpl for petrol variants and 43km/kg for the CNG qute.

The Bajaj Qute quadricycle weighs a mere 425kgs. Like Tata Nano, the boot space of the Qute is located in the front and is capable of carrying luggage of up to 20kgs, while the roof-mounted carrier can hold up to 40kgs of luggage.In safety aspects, Bajaj qute gets just seat-belts, which are quite basic. The Bajaj Qute is now only available in six cities and will soon be introduced in other cities as well.
